So, what do we use? After many, many years, having tried many, many systems, and many, many indicators, we are practically back where we started with a pretty basic candlestick chart with a single, one and only moving average on it.

Yep - no indicators, nothing except black and white candlesticks and a 20 period exponential moving average. No rsi, no stochastics, no MACD, no super-modified-V8-double-overhead-cam-turbo-charged-next-best indicator. Nothing else. Kaput. It’s a pretty naked chart really…

We may mark horizontal lines in for support and resistance areas, and the odd trend line or trend channel line, but we then erase them pretty quickly, to have a clean slate next time we review new data - which in our case is when our next set of daily data is downloaded.
